ICT REFLECTION
My ICT Reflection
This school year, I learned a lot in our ICT class is not just about computers, but also about patience, teamwork, and trying my best. From learning about how the internet started, to helping with Nutrition Month, and even making my own blog, it was a fun and sometimes challenging experience.
One topic I really found interesting was the history of the internet. Before, I thought the internet had just always been there. But I learned it actually started way back in the late 1960s with something called ARPANET, which was used by researchers to share information. Then in the 1980s, email and domain names were added, making it easier to talk online. In the 1990s, Tim Berners-Lee created the World Wide Web, which made websites and browsers possible. After that, the internet grew fast and now we have social media, smartphones, cloud storage, and Web 3.0. Learning all this made me realize how far technology has come and how much we use it every day.
During Nutrition Month, I got to apply what I learned in ICT. We cooked and sold nutritious and delicious food, and I helped with both preparing the meals and selling them. I chopped ingredients, helped cook, kept things clean, and made sure the food was healthy and well-prepared. I also enjoyed talking to people and encouraging them to try our meals. It was a lot of work, but I had we learnt about that teamwork makes the dream work
Another thing I learned was how to make and design a blog. At first, I didn’t know where to start. But little by little, I learned how to write blog posts, add pictures, and organize everything so it looked clean and interesting. It helped me express myself and boosted my confidence in using online tools.
But of course, there were some challenges. The biggest one for me was managing my time, especially when there were deadlines from other subjects. I also had some technical problems, like using a slow computer, a broken keyboard, and sometimes the Wi-Fi wouldn’t work properly. These made it hard to finish my work on time, and honestly, it got really frustrating.
To deal with those problems, I started bringing my own laptop to school when I could. That helped me finish my tasks faster. I also started listing down what I needed to do and gave myself earlier deadlines so I wouldn’t cram everything at the last minute. I learned to ask help when I needed it and just kept trying my best, even when things didn’t go smoothly.
Moving forward, I want to keep getting better at managing my time. I also want to explore more about blogging, digital design, and maybe learn basic coding too. ICT showed me how useful technology is not just for school, but also in real life. Most of all, it taught me that even if something is hard at first, I can handle it if I stay focused and don’t give up.
What a good student! You really memorize what ICT has taught you!
